Mark Yacano heads the firm’s Support and Information Practice, a niche practice group that specializes in the management of mass document and data collection and electronic document review projects for corporate clients engaged in complex litigation.

Mark and his team are experts in all facets of document and data management for litigation , including document and data retention, collection, analysis, review and , production, electronic discovery, and related substantive discovery efforts . The team’s streamlined workflow models maximize productivity, ensure quality and minimize client costs.

Mark’s team also provides comprehensive consulting services related to document and data management issues affecting litigation. Specif­ically, the team’s consulting services include instituting document and data retention and preservation plans, creating and implementing electronic discovery response plans and teams, and selecting litigation technology service providers, such as electronic discovery vendors and forensic data experts.

Mark also has an extensive background in traditional litigation. During his career, Mark has represented pharmaceutical companies, auto­motive manufacturers, chemical and equipment manufacturers and other companies in both stand-alone and complex multi-action litiga­tion. He has defended clients in various matters involving industrial vehicles, material handling systems, automotive parts, orthopedic implants, prescription drugs, medical devices and consumer products.

Prior to joining the firm in 1996, Mark practiced with Calfee, Halter & Griswold, LLP in Cleveland , Ohio , where he began his practice in 1988.

• Defended subsidiaries of a major manufacturer of specialty coatings and sealants in chemical exposure cases
•Managed the firms’ participation in multiple collections and reviews of large document populations in multi-district pharmaceutical litigation
• Participated in the defense of a major medical device manufacturer in multi-party litigation involving the failure of a prosthetic device
