Jeff Brown is a co-founder of the firm’s Discovery Solutions Practice, a niche practice group that specializes in the management of mass document and electronically stored information collection, review and production projects for corporate clients – primarily pharmaceutical and medical device companies – engaged in complex litigation, regulatory disputes and governmental investigations. His unique practice focuses almost exclusively on electronic discovery and electronic document management issues. He has extensive experience budgeting, planning and managing large-scale document and electronic discovery projects.
Jeff provides consulting services and advice to clients regarding document and data management issues affecting litigation, such as instituting retention plans, drafting and issuing hold and preservation notices, creating and implementing electronic discovery response plans, and selecting electronic document database systems and litigation support vendors. In addition, he acts as a Special Master in federal proceedings involving electronic discovery disputes.
In 2004, Jeff received Kroll Ontrack’s “Electronic Evidence Thought Leading Litigator” award. He served as law clerk to United States Magistrate Judge Barry R. Poretz in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia from 1993 to 1994.
