Bruin Richardson III joined Wright, Robinson as a principal in 1998. With more than ten years of labor and employment law experience, he heads the firm’s Employment practice group. Bruin’s extensive employment litigation experience encompasses regulatory, state and federal claims at the administrative, trial and appellate levels. He represents and advises clients in employment matters involving FMLA and FLSA as well as Title VII, ADA, sexual harassment and discrimination claims based on age, race, sex and disability. Bruin was recently recognized in Virginia Business Magazine as one of the legal elite in labor and employment law.

Bruin also maintains an active workers’ compensation practice and a traditional labor law practice with cases involving collective bargaining, union election campaigns and other union issues. His clients range from coal companies, textile manufacturers and banking institutions to small architectural firms and self-employed individuals.

Bruin trains client employers on fair employment practices and sexual harassment issues. Additionally, he co-developed WorkNETT, a nationally marketed, internet-based software application designed to train employees on issues such as sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace.

Bruin was formerly with Hunton & Williams, the largest firm in the Southeastern United States, where he practiced labor and employment law representing employers for over eight years.
